There aren't many movies that are as beloved as The Wizard of Oz. In fact, even more than 70 years after its release to cinema, fans still collect memorabilia from the film. You can find everything from mugs to tote bags with images of Dorothy, the Scarecrow, and the Tin Man. Today, you can also carry bank checks with images of scenes from the movie.

Not only does The Wizard of Oz have an endearing plot, but the characters are also memorable. Even the villain, the Wicked Witch, is a classic icon, not to mention the cowardly lion and Toto. Audiences want to root for the main characters to outwit the witch and get what their hearts desire.
